Cardi B announced on Thursday that she is expecting her third kid on Instagram. The artist, who won a Grammy Award, posted two pictures of herself holding her baby and staring down at it.

This statement comes just after Cardi B filed for divorce from rapper Offset, an NBC News representative confirmed.

Every conclusion marks the start of something fresh! I’m so happy we got to spend this season together. More love, more life, and most importantly, a revitalized sense of strength, all thanks to you!” 31-year-old Cardi B wrote in her caption. “You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!”

After getting married in 2017, Cardi B and Offset have two kids together: a 2-year-old son named Wave and a 6-year-old daughter named Kulture.

The divorce “has been a long time coming and is amicable; it is not based on any one particular incident,” according to a statement from Cardi B’s representative.

Offset and Cardi B had previously filed for divorce in 2020, but they ultimately made the decision to get back together.

The artist frequently shares her love for her kids on social media, posting pictures and commemorating their birthdays.

In an Instagram post last month, she wished her “beautiful, gentle, amazing daughter” a happy birthday, expressing that she had “grown up with you because I learned sooo much by just being your mom.”

Following her pregnancy announcement, people flooded the comments section with congratulations and good wishes.

Cardi B tweeted, “You, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through! It’s so much easier to take life’s twists, turns, and tests lying down!”
